Texas is a battleground state. It is time to win the battle.

Brothers and Sisters:

Short and sweet: Today we can build worker power at the voting booths.

Working families have streamed to the polls – more than half our movement has already voted in many key Texas locations – and records for early voting have fallen.

That’s no surprise. Today decides the fate of our #FairShot agenda that offers real opportunity for better lives for all of us.

Will we move toward health care for all or take a giant step backward when pre-existing conditions were often a death sentence because working people couldn’t afford medical care?

Will we stand tall for excellent public schools or walk the dark path of private school vouchers that steer your tax dollars away from your community schools into unaccountable private schools?

Will working people have the freedom to speak up together for better lives or will lawmakers rig the rules against us?

We could go on, but we promised short and sweet. Everything is at stake.

If you haven’t voted yet, today is the day. If you have voted, find someone among your family, friends or co-workers who will help build labor’s independent voice by voting.

For the first time in generations, Texas is a battleground state. It is time to win the battle.

Election Day polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Tuesday, Nov. 6. Find out where your polling place is at this link: www.myunionmyvote.org

Let’s make history together.
